Arkham Horror: Tall Tales Challenge #4
Greetings Investigators. last weeks challenge, inspired by our community's David Ju (SgtMook) tasked you complete The Essex County Express without using the basic move action. A challenging endeavour indeed. Not only did you need to rely on very specific cards in order to move throughout the train, you needed to rely on the encounter deck pumping out enemies on a regular basis in order to get those evades and free moves. Here are some stand out cards that were used by you and your fellow investigators as well...
'Ashcan' Pete was a standout investigator for this scenario. His loyal pooches ability allowed for speedy, free movement after investigating your current location and moving onto the next one. You didn't even take attacks of opportunity after moving, as investigating at a new location would not trigger an attack of opportunity from your previous location in the cost. Good boy.
Cat Burglar enabled you to have that basic movement action after all! Even disengaging from all enemies at your current location. Although you would take attacks from enemies with the hunter keyword re-engaging you, some of you sped through 2 carriages if you were lucky enough to find one without generic clues on the location, giving you ample time to complete the challenge in earnest.
Another stand out to get ahead of all the enemies spawning on top of you, Bait and Switch allowed you to not only circumvent not being able to use the basic move action, but also put enemies out of harms way and potentially get rid of them entirely as the train car's behind you slowly flew into and endless void above you.
A potential rules conundrum sprung up after i included this card in my own deck. "Does switching locations with another investigator or enemy count as moving?". Comment below on your thoughts on this. A link to the rules reference for Move can be found here.

And now onto Challenge #4! This challenge takes you one scenario back in the Dunwich Legacy. That's right, you're heading back to the Miskatonic Museum! This time, the Hunting Horror's senses are heightened. One false move, one slip, one mistake, one failed attempt searching for the Restricted Hall and it will be on you, fangs drawn! Growing faster and stronger with every failed investigation.
