The Return to Form, Tall Tales Challenge #6 and Challenge Giveaway!

Hello Investigators! I have returned from an incredibly long absence. My graphics card burnt to a crisp and i've been without a PC for over a month now. I'm very sorry that i couldn't post more regularly due to this...

...It's also being an incredibly tough time at work. So i've undertaken some retail therapy and found one piece for collection that's eluded me for a while...

Finally found a copy of the Pre Release Promotional Items for the LCG. I've been searching for quite sometime now and i'm almost up to date! My collection is about 90% complete as it stands. Looking out for alt art copies of Shortcut from the years Arkham Nights event and that's about it!

Apologies to everyone waiting for more challenges. Scroll down below for Challenge #6 and a prize giveaway. In the meantime, i haven't had a chance to really experiment outside of all this new content that has arrived. I drove 9 hours interstate to pick up Return to the Path to Carcosa and the Dream Eaters expansions!

I am knee deep into a run through of the Return to the Path to Carcosa, using StartsWithTheName (Andy)'s P.I Stalker Deck...

I had made 2 changes to the deck in relation to beginning a campaign in Curtain Call. I had replaced both copies of .45 Automatic with 2 copy of Enchanted Blade. I felt that dealing with Swarm of Rats with a 45. was a waste of ammunition, and now I had an answer outside of Parley tests to deal with Poltergeist.

I am also running the latest Taboo FAQ rules and had to find an alternative to Machete. I chose Survival Knife. as really Guardians outside of .45 have few options. I am trying to broaden my deck outside of having to rely on ammunition to get me through a scenario. Although I do want to eventually try "Eat Lead". So this strategy might change later in the campaign.

Steadfast. Amazing card. It's an insurance policy against cards that WOULD deal you damage or horror. It is also the only Circle Undone deluxe skill rewards you for playing that game well and not relying on hoarding resources, cards, etc. Which may affect your tempo in the wrong deck.

In the mean time, i've been developing a deck fundamentally that you could run stand alone, or in a multiplayer campaign...

I love Fortuitous Discovery. And when i find a card I love (which are always seemingly Survivor Cards) i have to find ways to exploit it.

Outside of Mandy Thompson, Minh is the only Seeker that can leverage Fortuitous Discovery's ability with her high Intellect Score. And is also an Investigator that can take both Resoureful and Eidetic Memory. 2 cards which compliment constantly discovering more clues on a stable routine throughout the game. Using Eidetic Memory to play as an extra copy of Fortuitous Discovery that is in your discard, you could potentially access 4 clues for 1 action in the game. Another option is using it to play a copy of Crack the Case from your discard to enable more resources to play for your Fortuitous Discovery's. Resourceful in Minh is just super solid and another option to retake those Fortuitous Discovery tests and gather more clues/

I will be sending this deck out to Peter and Frank over at Drawn to the Flame. You may hear a Decktrospective Episode on this deck in a future podcast episode.

And now for the challenge at hand!

Challenge #6 takes you back to Arkham Woods to stop the ritual  that summons Umordhoth to our world. On the cusp of midnight, the moon hides behind the clouds and the woods that encircle you become pitch black. You will need to employ the use of your talents, luck and allies to aid you in the search for the clues you need. As it is now too dark to investigate yourself! Will you employ the aid of Lola Santiago? or Interrogate some of the local Ghouls? The choice is yours
